Hospice & Comfort Care:

Special rooms have been designated as Hospice and Comfort Care Rooms for those residents needing short-term care, comfort care, or hospice care.  For those entering the last stage of life, it is our desire to provide the resident and family special comforts for the final time that they will spend together.  Staff is specially trained to be sensitive to the special needs arising from the physical, emotional, spiritual and social stresses experienced during the final stages of a life-limiting illness.

Our Comfort Care Room is available for short term stays as a respite for caregivers or to provide a transition time for families facing a healthcare decision or a residence solution for their loved one. Our rooms provide a homelike atmosphere at a difficult time, relieving family of the responsibility of care and enabling them to spend quality time with family.

We are the only facility in Rockford with designated rooms and specially trained staff to meet the needs of the family and resident. The resident need not have a contract with a hospice service to utilize the additional amenities of this room.  Our Hospice Services are available to those who reside in the Wesley Willows community and to those in the community at large.
