Fund Development Programs

The following funds are made possible by support from our residents, their families, friends, and our Board of Trustees, staff, and the community at large.

Good Samaritan Fund

Contributions made to this fund are used in their entirety to provide ongoing personalized care to residents who have outlived their financial resources. Gifts to this fund enable Wesley Willows to guarantee a lifetime of care to all residents.

Good Samaritan Endowment Fund

The total contributions to this fund are set aside in a special account that is kept separate from operating and capital fund accounts. Only the earnings from this fund are used to provide care for residents. The perpetual fund remains secure and protects the future of those who call Wesley Willows their home.

Building Endowment Fund

This fund is used for the continuous renovation of buildings on the
Wesley Willows campus. The total contributions are set aside and only the earnings from this fund are used to care for the structural needs of
Wesley Willows.

Chaplaincy Fund

Contributions to this fund are used to support the Pastoral Care Programs which give shape and focus to our residents’ spiritual lives.

Kirk’s Place Memory Care Fund

These funds are used to support the Alzheimer’s program in Kirk’s Place. Individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease are served with a purposeful, activity program designed to meet their physical, emotional, leisure, and spiritual needs in a safe, caring environment.

Donor Specific Memorial Gifts

Special gifts given in honor of an individual, family, or group are recognized as new features to the Wesley Willows campus. Recent gifts have included the Nan Taylor Rose Garden and the Dance for Eternity garden sculpture.

Wesley Willows Founders Club

A particularly meaningful way to assist Wesley Willows’ residents is to become a member of the Founders Club. Members of the Club are donors who have named Wesley Willows in their will, trust, life insurance policy, or gift annuity. Their planned gifts are a legacy that will ensure Wesley Willows' programs will continue into the future. Members receive special recognitions throughout the year and at the Annual Founders Club Dinner.

Wesley Willows Annual Benefit

Funds from the Annual Benefit are designated for the Good Samaritan Fund. The event has been successful for 40 years with recent yearly donations of over $55,000. In 2012, the successful benefit took place on July 1 at the Rock Valley College Starlight Theater with an afternoon performance of 9 to 5: the Musical.

Wesley Willows Charitable Gift Annuity

Specific donor gifts are established as an annuity with interest paid periodically to the donor. The Gift Annuity provides a lifetime income for one or two people, a significant tax deduction, attractive fixed income rates for a lifetime, and a worthwhile investment in helping to perpetuate the mission of Wesley Willows.

We sincerely appreciate all gifts and donations to Wesley Willows. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization so that gifts may provide tax benefits to our donors. When you plan your gift, we suggest you discuss your plans with your family, attorney, your financial planner, and your tax advisor. Our Development Department will also be happy to assist you as you make your plans.
